Riyadh Metro Opens: A New Era for Urban Mobility

The Riyadh Metro, built by Webuild, is now officially open. With six lines spanning 176 km and 85 stations, it is the largest driverless transportation system in the world. Designed to accommodate up to 3.6 million passengers per day, this cutting-edge network aims to ease traffic congestion and promote sustainable mobility in the rapidly growing city.

One of its most iconic stations is the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) Metro Station, a masterpiece by Zaha Hadid Architects.

Currently, the Orange Line (41 km) is in operation, serving the central areas of Riyadh. A major step forward for the city’s future.
